Hello, my name is Eric Prasetya and I am Food Science student in Bogor Agricultural University from Indonesia. I became a part of KMITL for one month in exchange program of KMITL, Bangkok. I started my journey from January 9 th 2017. This was not my first time to go to Thailand, but this was my first time to truly feel about living in Thailand. I love thai food. It is very rich of flavor and I like all of the various unique menu, except herb “pak-chi” because it is not common to eat in my country. I lived in dorm with roommate from Taiwan, Yi Qi, who also joined the exchange program. In this program, I did short-term research under supervision of Prof. Warawut Krusong in Fermentation Technology and my subject was fermented or known as
kombucha. In my research, I was comparing the kombucha from different type and origin of the tea. I had buddy called Way from KMITL that supports me in research and daily activity during the program. She also taught me some Thai language and we traveled to some famous places in weekend with some friends, such as Wat Arun, Suphan buri, etc. During the research, I felt very close relationship between undergraduate students, post-graduate students and Ajarn, which I never experienced in my university. I love my friends, staffs and Ajarn in Fermentation Technology KMITL because they treated me as a part of their family.
